We were at Arrowhead Provincial Park two weeks earlier. We visited the beautiful Stubb Falls and noticed that the water is brown. Any one know why?

I don’t have an answer specific to Stubb Falls. But there are many water bodies in Ontario that has brown color (a.k.a tea colored lakes). This is due to high amount of dissolved organic matter. This doesn’t mean the water is polluted or not clean, this is natural. In fact, some research suggests that this type of color change is indicative of a return to a more natural, pre-industrial state.
